What Is Rollercoin?
Rollercoin is a crypto-mining simulation game that actually pays out in real crypto. Not just any crypto or some weird token you never heard of – we are talking about Bitcoin, Etherium, BNB, Polygon (MATIC), and yes, even DOGE! Now, before you get too excited, this isn’t exactly something that is going to replace actual Bitcoin or Etherium mining (which is expensive and out of reach for many of us) but to provide you with a fun gaming experience that provides you with small amounts of real cryptocurrency. Mining Basics
Rollercoin is just a simulation of real world crypto mining – not the real thing! The team behind it did a nice job of basing the simulation on how crypto is mined in the real world.
- Network Power – This is the mining power of all players in the game combined.
- My Power – This is your personal mining power. You can obtain this in two ways: by playing games and also by purchasing miners. The higher this number grows, the more power you have a the bigger a chunk of each mining block you receive.
- Mining Block – Every block has a fixed reward based on what crypto is being mined and it is doled out to all Rollercoin players based upon their mining power. In other words, the higher the power you have, the more crypto you receive when a block is mined!
- Reward – Mining Block rewards are calculated every five minutes. Every time a block is mined, players receive real crypto rewards delivered straight into the game wallet.
How to Build Power
There are two ways to build power in Rollercoin. The first way is to directly purchase miners from the game using RLT (Rollercoin’s token.) The second way is by playing games to build your power. Both ways add power but work in completely different ways.
- Purchasing Miners – When you purchase miners in Rollercoin, it adds mining power right out the gate that is permanent. What does that mean? Even if you are not actively logged on to the game these miners work 24/7 while you are offline and the crypto rewards are sent straight to your in-game wallet. Miners are purchased using RLT which is Rollercoin’s native token. You must also buy a rack from the shop first that your miner can be placed on.
- Playing Games – Rollercoin isn’t just for people who want to pay to earnbut also play to earn. Mining power can be added for FREE just by playing games. When you win a game, mining power is added but only for 24 hours (you can extend this to a week, see strategies below) which means it will go away after a day.
The Games of Rollercoin
There are eleven games total you can play to earn mining power in this game. Each game has a different difficulty as well as a different “payout” in terms of mining power gained. Games enter a cooldown period after you play them and as the difficulty gets higher, the cooldown gets longer.
- COINCLICK – This game has a cute little hamster that drops tokens and coins that you have to click to catch but also drops bombs. If you click on one bomb it is game over. The game is fairly easy until you get up around level 6 and then the hamster drops more bombs than tokens!
- TOKEN BLASTER – This is a basic Galaga clone and it is one of my favorites as I am a huge fan of Galaga. This game has problems with it “resetting” in the middle of the match although I suspect it is more of a problem on iOS and maybe not a problem if you play on PC. This has one of the higher rewards of the games and is a mainstay for my playing.
- FLAPPY ROCKET – Remember Flappy Bird? Well, welcome to Flappy Rocket. I like to refer to this game as “Fappy Rocket.” Mostly because I have a childish streak and enjoy doing things like that. The payout in terms of mining power is low but the game is fairly easy.
- CRYPTONOID – Ahh yes, its Arkanoid from back in the day. A bit difficult to play on iOS but the payout in mining power is great and its kind of fun to play (at least until you get up to level 6 or so.)
- COIN-MATCH – Slide the tokens around until you get at least three of kind in a row. More points if you connect a line of 4 or 5 of the same token. Payout in mining power is low to medium but this is a solid game that doesn’t become too difficult until you hit level 7 or so.
- CRYPTO HAMSTER – This is a vertical-scrolling jump adventure game with a cute little hamster explorer who has to jump from platform to platform whilst avoiding alien enemies. High payout compared to other games. The difficulty gets too hard after level 4 as there are just too many aliens you can’t avoid.
- 2048 COINS – I’m not even sure how to put this game into words. You slide around boxes imprinted with tokens and as they combine you earn a score based on the value of the shown token. It’s not very fun, the payout is low and its rather tedious. It is worth playing up until level 3 and then the failure rate starts getting too high.
- COIN-FLIP – Remember playing Concentration as a child? This is it! I enjoy this game as I think it is the best as far as sharpening your mind but Rollercoin really dropped the ball when they nerfed the mining power big time. Sad. It used to have the highest payout. I still play it as I find it easy even all the way up to level 10.
- DR. HAMSTER – Interesting name, at least for a sub-par Tetris clone. I find this game unplayable on mobile but I’m sure its pretty easy for PC users. I only play on mobile, so I can’t tell you how much the mining power payout is for higher levels.
- TOKEN SURFER – I like to call this “Token Sniffer” for reasons unknown. If you are not sure why then check out “Fappy Rocket” above. You are a skateboarder who collects tokens while avoiding pitfalls and traffic cones. Payout is low in terms of mining power but the game is pretty easy. Also, I am a lifelong skateboarder so it is natural for me to want to play this game.
- LAMBO RIDER – If you are into crypto of course you want to ride on a Lambo. What degenerate memetoken gambler wouldn’t? Unfortunately, this game is rather poorly designed and you won’t riding much past level 2. Low payout in mining power and constantly crashing into road obstacles is the norm here.
Basic Strategy for Rollercoin
There are three basic ways to earn crypto in Rollercoin. The first, and what was the original intention of the team, was that you buy miners and use them to mine blocks and earn crypto. The second is that you can play games and earn mining power but this is fleeting as it goes away eventually and you have to keep playing games daily to keep any sort of rewards coming in. The third is through the referral program and in my opinion this is the best way to earn crypto in Rollercoin. I will give you the rundown for each one.
- Buying Mining Rigs – Mining rigs will give you permanent power that doesn’t fade or go away as time goes by. This is an expensive option but the new “seasons” they introduced makes it much more affordable. Some rewards in the season can actually be earned by “free to play” players and I have claimed them myself! They also recently introduced crafting mining rigs from parts that are dropped by winning games. Be forewarned though, the ROI (return on investment) can take some time before you are back in the green with this strategy.
- Playing Games – You can actually play Rollercoin as a completely free player without investing any money into it. I have earned some BTC just from playing the games so I am quick to recommend this to someone who is interested in crypto but doesn’t have the funds to invest in due to being strapped for cash. This is great for kids and convenience store workers with a lot of time on their hands sitting in front of a TV or cash register. VERY IMPORTANT: If you decide to go this route, be sure to pay careful attention to your PC level! The mining power you earn from playing games only lasts 24 hours with the lowest-level PC. If you play 60 games in a day you can get the highest level of PC (level 4) and your power holding lasts 7 days instead of one as long as you play one game every 24 hours. Do not cut this too close as sometimes the game has outages and you won’t be able to log in and play for time to time. So I like to make sure I play at least one game every 12 hours when I am using this strategy.
- Referral Program – This is a great referral program as it pays out in Bitcoin. You can receive 25% of the profit from people you refer and you get 15% of their in-game purchases! So you get a percentage from the combined income of each person you refer to the game. Your commission is calculated next day following the day you referred someone. The reward is automatically transferred to your in-game wallet with nothing you have to click on to make sure it is “claimed.” I consider this to be one of the best referral programs because it pays out in Bitcoin which is arguably the King of Crypto when it comes to value.
Does Rollercoin pay out or is it a SCAM?
I have seen a lot of people on social media wondering out loud if this is a scam or does it actually pay out in Bitcoin which is a big reason I wrote this article. I can confirm (see screenshot above) that Rollercoin does indeed pay out when you reach an amount high enough to withdraw. As you can see the network fees can be a bit high so I do not recommend taking out small amounts like I did but the reason I withdrew a small amount was to make sure that the game works and does indeed pay out in Bitcoin before I recommend it to you. Rollercoin has been around for I believe close to three years now and with the most recent upgrades to the game through seasons I think it will continue to be around for a long time. I think this game has longevity due to the fact that it pays out in the most valuable cryptos that are around such as Bitcoin, Etherium, DOGE, BNB and Polygon (MATIC) and has a solid team working behind the scenes. When I prompted the game to pay me out in Bitcoin, I can confirm that the transaction took place in less than two hours so I was pleasantly surprised at the quickness I received my BTC!
